When I first met Tara and Jack, they were a couple that I immediately felt an instant connection. A sense that they completely trusted me with every element of their ceremony. So it came as no surprise that they trusted me to craft some truly beautiful and meaningful vows.
It’s for that reason I still get the giggles when I see Tara’s reaction hearing Jack’s vows for the very first time. Vows that were unique and genuine as the man himself. I was glad to get plenty of distance at this moment as Jack committed to many things not to mention always allowing Tara to make the final decision and of course bringing her breakfast in bed every Sunday morning. Here I am giving Jack a wave of reassurance, much along the lines of ‘you can thank me later Jack’. On reflection, I’m not sure Jack was thinking the same. It was such a beautiful moment and by Tara’s reaction, having me pen Jack’s vows was a risk they were willing to take.
Tara wrote, “Simon gave us the most memorable ceremony! His ability to understand a couple, deliver a service, make us laugh and fall in love all over again is a very special skill.
Thank you Simon, you created a ceremony we couldn’t have dreamed of! I’m looking forward to my new husband sticking to his vows and making me breakfast in bed EVERY Sunday!”
